Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue

The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) is a Swiss-based private diplomacy organisation founded on the principles of humanity, impartiality and independence. Its mission is to help prevent, mitigate, and resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation.

Working for the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue

HD employs around 120 employees from over twenty countries. The organisation has a decentralised structure, with its headquarters in Geneva, two regional offices in Nairobi and Singapore, and several country offices in Africa and Asia. HD’s project managers lead small, agile teams that are adapted to the needs of each project and overseen by regional directors.

HD is looking for people who combine extensive experience, expertise and networks with creativity, professionalism and humility.

Opportunities for students and junior professionals

HD offers internships, providing students the opportunity to gain professional experience and to contribute to the organisation’s work.. Interns are paid a stipend for the duration of their internship.

HD favours students undertaking degrees in political science, international relations, peace and conflict, human rights, humanitarian law or equivalent. Eligible candidates must also be fluent in English.
