What types of organisations use cinfoPoste?

cinfoPoste is the only Swiss portal for jobs in development cooperation, humanitarian aid and peace promotion. More than 180 organisations working in these fields post their job advertisements on the job platform.

We advertise positions from foundations, government agencies, the private sector, NGOs, multilateral organisations, and training and research institutes.

Who looks for jobs on cinfoPoste?

Organisations can reach a large audience from junior to senior professionals, from entry- and mid-level to management, with various backgrounds relevant to the field of international cooperation.

Registration/Account management

Why should I upload my organisation’s logo and insert a “company description”?

A dedicated webpage is generated for every organisation creating a profile on cinfoPoste. A comprehensive profile will enhance your visibility as an employer of choice among potential candidates. The webpage automatically lists all your vacancies.

I forgot my password, what should I do?

There is a “Forgot your password?” button below the login. You will receive an email with instructions to follow to reset your password.

How can I delete my account?

This must be done by cinfo. In case you want to delete your account and data, please contact us at cinfoposte@cinfo.ch.

Subscriptions and pricing

How long is the duration of my subscription?

Subscriptions are valid for two years after the date of purchase.

Members of Network cinfo get discounts for their subscriptions. How do I become a member?

cinfo carefully selects the members of their network. If you are interested in joining, you can find more information here.

I understand that junior positions can be advertised for free on cinfoPoste. How can I benefit from this service?

You can advertise internships, traineeships and junior positions for free if the level of experience required is less than one year and the tasks do not include management tasks. Get in touch with us at cinfoposte@cinfo.ch with the vacancies as attachments and we will inform you about the process.

My organisation is not based in Switzerland. Do I need to pay the Swiss VAT?

Organisations not headquartered in Switzerland do not pay the Swiss VAT. The system automatically recognises your location based on your contact details and whether you have to pay the Swiss VAT.

What happens if I use a different cinfoPoste account than my colleague(s) working in the same organisation?

Different email addresses imply different login credentials and therefore different accounts. Subscriptions cannot be shared between two accounts. Job slots must be purchased for each account individually.

Posting a job advertisement

How long does it take for a job vacancy to be published on cinfoPoste?

The job vacancy is reviewed and validated by cinfo within one working day.

How can I edit a job advertisement once published?

You can search for your job advertisement among the “Online ads”. At the bottom right of the job ad, there is a button called “Edit”. Once you have made the changes, make sure that you click on the button “+ edit” to republish the vacancy.

How long does my job advertisement stay online on cinfoPoste?

A standard job advertisement is displayed for up to 30 days and highlighted ones can be displayed up to 60 days. If you buy a package, you can display all your vacancies for up to 60 days.

How can I extend the duration of my job advertisement?

Once you have published a job ad, you can contact cinfo at cinfoposte@cinfo.ch to extend the duration of your job advertisement, or republish a job advertisement once offline from “Job ad archive”. If you decide to republish it, it will require a new job slot.

How many times can I extend my job advertisement?

Once for free if you have any of the package solutions or a highlighted single job advertisement.

What is a highlighted job advertisement?

Highlighted job advertisements are premium vacancies that are published on the cinfoPoste homepage, put on top of the vacancy list and, as possible promoted via social media and the cinfo newletter, and thus are more visible than other vacancies. Highlighting a job advertisement costs an extra 100 CHF. One, three or five highlighted job advertisements are included for free in every member organisation package solution.

How can I publish the same vacancy or reuse an old vacancy as a template?

Once archived, you can open an old vacancy in the “Job ad archive”, modify it if necessary and post it again using one job slot.

How to redirect job applicants to a specific webpage or to my organisation’s job portal?

Once the subscription is validated by cinfo, you will be given the chance to redirect your job advertisements. When you create a new job advertisement, please enter the full url in the field “Redirect applications to”. Please note that we validate the subscriptions even before we receive payment.

How can I set up a deadline for a job advertisement?

When you create a new job advertisement, you can click on “More parameters” under the job description and choose an expiry date that will be visible to candidates. Please note that the deadline should not exceed the duration of your job advertisement (30 or 60 days).

How can I add an attachment to my job advertisement?

When you create a new job advertisement, you can click on “More parameters” under the job description and upload your file with the button “Upload attachment”.

What is the difference between “Working region” and “Macro-area”?

“Working region” is the canton in Switzerland or the department abroad. “Macro-areas” are world regions.

My vacancy does not have a precise location or is based in several locations. Which field should I select?

You can select “Multiple” in the category “Macro-area” to let job applicants know that the position(s) is/are located in several places.

Why are there options to select the gender or the age of candidates in the section “Candidate’s goal”?

If you decide to use cinfoPoste for your recruitment process, those fields help you target your ideal candidates. All applications will be visible, but those at the top of the list of candidates reflect your preferences. This is not meant to be used for discriminatory purposes.

Recruitment and additional services

How can I access the cinfoPoste talent pool?

cinfo does not share data and information on candidates and therefore does not grant direct access to their talent pool. However, you can contact us at recruitment@cinfo.ch to get more information about our active sourcing and recruitment support services.

How can I use video interviews?

You can buy video interviews in the dashboard by clicking on “Buy”. At the bottom, you will find them listed among “Our products”. When you use cinfoPoste recruitment tool, you can select a candidate and send him/her a request to complete a video interview.

How can I use language tests?

You can buy language tests in the dashboard by clicking on “Buy”. At the bottom, you will find them listed among “Our products”. When you use the cinfoPoste recruitment tool, you can select a candidate and send him/her a request to complete a language test in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. 

My organisation does not have a recruitment tool. Can I use cinfoPoste to recruit candidates?

If you do not redirect applications to your own job portal, you can see which candidates applied for your job advertisements in your personal area and manage them by clicking on “View candidates”. 

Why did I see my job posting on another job portal?

Job advertisements are automatically multi-posted on several free job platforms. Potential candidates are redirected to your job advertisement on cinfoPoste.

Due to the high visibility of cinfoPoste, job advertisements can also be picked up by paid job boards. Potential candidates are redirected to your job advertisement on cinfoPoste.
