Enfants du Monde is a Swiss non-governmental organisation working in favour of children through development aid focused on education and health.

Twenty staff work at the headquarters of Enfants du Monde. In the field, EDM employs only local staff in its regional co-ordination offices, which support and monitor programmes implemented by local partner associations and institutions.

Sought profiles

All positions require proficiency in French, English and Spanish.

Education specialists:

  • Higher education (Master or PhD level) in education
  • Extensive experience (10 years minimum) in higher education; (Or can write “Minimum 10 years’ experience in higher education
  • Extensive experience in educational research
  • Work experience in the South

Health specialists:

  • Higher education (Master level) in public health
  • Good knowledge of health promotion, maternal and neonatal health
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in health promotion
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in research, follow-up and evaluation of health programmes
  • Publications on maternal and neonatal health, community health or health promotion
  • Work experience in the South

Project managers and project assistants

  • Higher education
  • Interpersonal competencies, including in other cultural contexts
  • Administrative competence and attention to details, writing competence
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of the Internet
  • Project Manager: Competence and experience in development and working with different partners (NGOs, Universities, cooperation agencies, etc.)
  • Project Manager: minimum 10 years’ experience in managing cooperation programmes

Opportunities for students and junior professionals

EDM offers one or two paid internship positions per year of a minimum of 6 months. Requirements:

  • Higher education (on-going or completed) in education, public health, development or international relations
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of the internet
  • Languages (French, English, Spanish)
