Fastenopfer

Fastenopfer – Swiss Catholic Lenten Fund is a Catholic NGO in Switzerland. Under the slogan «We share», Fastenopfer works for a fairer world. Fastenopfer strengthens people and communities of different ideological, denominational and religious orientation who are committed to the eradication of poverty, work for global justice and are concerned with creating secure livelihoods. Therefore Fastenopfer collaborates with local partner organisations in 14 country programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as organisations in Switzerland.

Fastenopfer has 57 staff (39 FTEs by 31.12.2017) working in three Swiss locations: Lucerne (47 people), Lausanne (7 people) and Lugano (3 people).

  • Country programme officers: higher education, professional experience in international cooperation and/or relevant further training
  • International programme officers: higher education, professional correspondent thematic knowhow and experience in advocacy and lobbying work
  • Thematic officer: higher education, experience in a relevant thematic theme linked to international cooperation, relevant further training
