New JPO vacancy at EBRD for Swiss nationals

Currently, we have the following open position at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development:

EBRDEuropean Bank for Reconstruction and Development , Counsel or Associate Counsel, Legal Transition (JPOJunior Professional Officer ), London

This position is financed by SECOState Secretariat for Economic Affairs .


  • Master’s degree in law with preferably a post-graduate law degree (e.g. LLM) in a second jurisdiction
  • At least 3 years, of relevant experience as a lawyer, ensuring familiarity with at least one of this area
    (insolvency and restructuring, access to finance, corporate governance, public procurement, public private partnerships,
    energy regulation, information and communication technology, and dispute resolution). EBRD counts internships at 100% rate
  • Experience in conducting legal research, drafting and negotiating legal documentation
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to monitor and follow up on many activities concurrently under time constraints and ability to understand and manage priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and client focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fluency in an additional language, in particular Russian, French or Arabic, would be an asset
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews


  • 2 year assignment (fixed-term contract)
