New JPO vacancy at the Mediation Support Unit for Swiss nationals

Currently, we have the following open position with the Mediation Support Unit:

MSU: Political Affairs Officer (JPOJunior Professional Officer , P-2), New York

This position is financed by HSDHuman Security Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs


  • A Masters’ degree in political science, international relations, international economics, law or other related area
  • At least three years in political science, international relations, law, disarmament, security, development management, conflict resolution or related area
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews (11 or 12 March 2020)


  • 1 year (with possible extension for another year)

Start date

  • Please be aware that the recruitment process may take 3 to 6 months. You are expected to start your assignment within 3 months following notification of selection.
