New JPO vacancy at UNODC for Swiss nationals

Currently, we have the following open position with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime:

UNODC: Associate Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer (P-2) - Vienna

This position is financed by HSDHuman Security Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs .


  • Master’s degree in criminal law, criminology, and/or related social science, international relations, political science, law, public administration or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in crime prevention and criminal justice at national and international levels. The UN Secretariat counts relevant internships at 50%.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of technical assistance and/or education preferably on trafficking in persons and/or smuggling of migrants, is required.
  • Familiarity with project formulation, implementation and monitoring, and exposure to international development cooperation is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English, with good knowledge of two Swiss national languages
  • Knowledge of other UN official languages is desirable
  • Swiss nationality
  • Valid driving license
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews


  • 1-2 year assignment (1 year renewable fixed-term contracts)
