For experienced professionals

Professionals with at least 5 years of relevant experience are regularly sought for mid-career to senior-level staff positions or consultancies, in particular in the fields of emergency preparedness and response.

For junior professionals

For students and recent graduates

The UN Youth Volunteers Programme regularly offers young graduates the opportunity to gain direct exposure to UNICEF's work in the field. Some UNYVUN Youth Volunteers positions are only open to nationals of certain countries or graduates of certain universities. Graduate-level students or recent graduates can also complement their development-oriented studies with practical experience through an internship at UNICEF's headquarters or in a country office. Interns may apply to consultancies, short-term or staff positions after their assignment. Approximately 85% of UNICEF staff are located in the field.
