AGIAMONDO
AGIAMONDO e.V. – which operated as the Association for Development Cooperation (AGEH) until 2019 – is the German Catholic personnel service for international cooperation.
AGIAMONDO is one of nine institutions in Germany recognised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development that deploys development workers in accordance with the German Development Aid Workers Act (EhfG).
AGIAMONDO recruits qualified development workers for church and non-state development cooperation projects. It also develops peacebuilding programmes together with partner organisations and advises support organisations on establishing and expanding their voluntary services.

How we work
AGIAMONDO recruits motivated people to work at church and civil society organisations worldwide. As well as this, AGIAMONDO advises organisations on all questions regarding personnel cooperation and offers a comprehensive service to executing agencies that offer voluntary services. AGIAMONDO trains development workers and assists them before and during their assignment and when they return to their home country. We also design the programme for the Civil Peace Service.
... and why
AGIAMONDO's vision is to create a fair, mutually supportive and globally connected world. AGIAMONDO sees volunteers, development workers and partners in the global South and North as promoting global development. They join forces to ensure that “our common home” remains liveable. To this end, AGIAMONDO development workers provide valuable support to local organisations in their socially active work. For AGIAMONDO, learning and taking action together is the key to sustainable development.

Our work is based on Christian values and the Catholic faith. Justice, peace, charity and preservation of creation are fundamental values for us – values that guide AGIAMONDO development workers in their efforts. The holistic nature of church solidarity with poor people and the resulting development cooperation work is not conceivable without human interaction. Which is why learning and taking action together is essential for development.
