Designing the built environment of the future.

The BFH-AHB is the only educational and research institution in Switzerland to combine architectural, timber and civil engineering under one roof and for holistic solutions. We build on a decades-long experience for using natural resources with the international known innovation center for wood and open up new possibilities for a sustainably built environment.

Focusing on the following sustainable development goals (SDGs)

Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
Responsible Consumption and Production

How we work

We are pioneers of sustainable building. We rely on collective intelligence, work with education, research and innovation in the real laboratory, think in cycles and thus take responsibility for our living space. With three departments, four institutes, a centre for development cooperation and a centre for the raw material wood, we build bridges between the disciplines.

Career opportunities

Seeking candidates mainly in

Edilizia
Formazione e formazione continua
Tecnologia dell'informazione e della coomunicazione

One-size-fits-all? Not really our thing. That's why there is no such thing as "team spirit", because it feels a little different everywhere. But one thing is the same in all jobs: the uncomplicated exchange across topics, departments and sometimes even countries.
