New JPO vacancy at UNAIDS for Swiss nationals

Currently, we have the following open position with the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS:

UNAIDSJoint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS : Programme Officer (JPOJunior Professional Officer , P-2) – Yaoundé

This position is financed by SDCSwiss Agency for Development and Cooperation

Requirements

  • Strong interest in a longer-term career with the United Nations
  • Master’s degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in programme management in the public and/or private sector at the national or international levels. Internships are counted at 100% by UNAIDS.
  • Experience in data analysis and coordination
  • Interest in and knowledge of the AIDS epidemic and its implications
  • Excellent French and English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews

Duration

  • 2-3 year assignment (1 year renewable fixed-term contracts). Re-assignment to a different duty station may be an option in year 3.

Start date

  • Please be aware that the recruitment process may take 3 to 6 months. You are expected to start your assignment within 3 months following notification of selection.
